The food carries real Vietnamese depth, the valley view at night is faultless, and the acoustic set is lovely. The staff are warm and happy to advise. This place deserves to be better known.
A warm room among the pines
Dưới Tán Anh Đào is a Vietnamese fusion restaurant and organic coffee house on Hung Vuong Street in Xuan Truong — the tourist road out to Trai Mat and Cau Dat, about 15 minutes' drive from central Da Lat. Nearly 30 mai anh đào trees grow in and around the grounds, five of them mature trees whose blossom is a noticeably deeper pink. Each flowering season the place becomes a stop on the map.
The kitchen is built on traceable local produce: soft-shell crab from the Mekong Delta, chicken from Go Cong, mắc khén pepper and dổi seed from the northwest highlands, mulberries and rosemary grown in Da Lat, organic coffee from Lam Dong and chocolate from Vietnamese cacao. Traditional charcoal grilling, sauces made in-house to our own recipes.
Most seating is outdoors or in the stone-clad pavilions set among pine woods, looking down over the valley. Three wooden houses indoors each have a fireplace — warm on the coldest Da Lat evenings and on rainy nights. The acoustic stage lights up at 7:30 every evening: no ticket, no cover charge.

Beautiful view, delicious food, generous portions. Just like the name says — plenty of cherry blossom here.
Big plus for the staff — genuinely welcoming, and good at helping you choose. The food is hard to fault. Four of us ordered four dishes and everyone left full, plates clean. I'd really recommend the sour-and-spicy pork bone hot pot; in the Da Lat cold it just works.
The acoustic nights here are warm, the room feels close without being crowded. And the food is very good, properly seasoned — everyone in my family praised it and we finished every plate. A completely satisfying evening. If you're heading to Da Lat and want somewhere good for the family, save Dưới Tán Anh Đào.
Quick staff, clean and cosy room. The food is excellent, the view beautiful — ten out of ten for quality.
Lovely view, good music, no cover charge and free grilled sweet potato. If you're stuck for a weekend evening, give it a try — genuinely worth the money, the staff are sweet, and there are some very friendly dogs 🥰

The kitchen cooks Vietnamese fusion over charcoal. Chef's picks include soft-shell crab and green mango salad, crispy roast pork knuckle, grilled pork ribs in fermented tofu marinade, amber stuffed squid and the green chilli pork bone hot pot. On the drinks side we are best known for hand-made chocolate, salted-cream coffee and egg-cream coffee, all using organic Lam Dong beans.
